Space Planning And Management
Mosaic Space has been at the forefront of moves in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of higher and further education space use, particularly in the area of teaching and learning spaces. Our contribution to building and planning projects has generally resulted in more efficient buildings and more sustainable practices. We have been involved in the continuing development of new and improved methods and systems to deliver a better understanding of space data, and are constantly seeking to develop innovative solutions and approaches.

New Precinct Development
Establishment of the accommodation schedule and building design for a metropolitan university's new new inner-city facility housing the Faculty of Economics and Business. Significant contributory work to the master accommodation schedule for teaching and research space, staff work rooms, student common areas and support facilities. Analysis of utilisation rates in existing space and conversion of utilisation statistics to the new precinct.New Faculty Of Education Building
Development of the accommodation schedule for a new Faculty of Education building, including the establishment of the type, number, size and configuration of rooms and ancillary facilities required. Development of the Faculty of Education teaching timetable in the new building.Accommodation Efficiency Audit
Lead consultant for a large university's Accommodation Efficiency Audit project, which surveyed the university's current building stock and made recommendations for the development of the university's estates to the year 2020. Student enrolment trend analysis to 2020 and the implications of projected enrolments on current and planned buildings. Analysis of the current use of space and recommendations for improvements in space configuration and usage.Accommodation Evaluation Project
Delivery of an Accommodation Analysis and Evaluation report for all schools, departments, faculties, divisions and units within a large inner-city university, as a prelude and contributing document to the university's Campus Masterplan. Responsibility for space data analysis and utilisation reporting sections of the document.
